I was referred to Penrose, Chun & Gorman because of the complexity of our probate case involving a sibling who took advantage of our mother with Alzheimer’s disease. This case involved deposing a neurologist and a geriatrician to challenge the mental and physical ability of our mother to make decisions regarding her estate. Ken Gorman’s line of questioning and attention to detail regarding types of medication and duration of medication was outstanding. Ken and Hillary did the heavy lifting and in our opinion did a fantastic job. With Ken’s advice we ended up settling during mediation and in the end, our mother’s wishes in her Last Will and Testament were fulfilled. Mr. Penrose represented me as a trustee several years ago in a weeklong trial that vindicated my efforts and even increased my authority in the case. Mr. Penrose helped again in 2015 after I sold trust-owned real estate used by an income beneficiary as her residence, leaving her unable to afford rent in senior housing. We were able, in the end, to resolve a highly complex matter and to avoid a trial which would have been very messy.
